On 31 May 2024 at 04:12 UTC, DMM Bitcoin lost 4,502.9 BTC, reported at about $305.0M, according to Beosin. The funds left the exchange in one transaction and were split into nine 500 BTC outputs within the same block. KadenaTrace's automatic trace shows about $305.8M moved out of the exploiter address 1B6rJRfjTXwEy36SCs5zofGMmdv2kdZw7P across multiple hops, with most of the funds passing through wallets that were split and forwarded repeatedly. Only $1,096 was still held in traced wallets at the time of the trace, and the case is registered on Kadena as KT-2 and is being watched. Recovery and any freezing of the funds have not been reported in the material available here.
